| A-B-C bottle uncaser offers high speed operation
and quick changeover January 12, 2004 Packagers who buy bottles or containers in reshipper cases can achieve high speeds and quick changeovers to unload a full range of glass or plastic containers, round or non-round, with the Model 156 decaser from A-B-C Packaging. The Model 156 is a 3-in-1 machine that functions as a flap opener/positioner, unpacker and bottle single filer. The unit opens the case flaps, unloads and single files containers and uprights the empty cases for conveying to case packing-- at speeds to 50 cases per minute. This decaser is a good choice for packagers who run a variety of bottle or container styles, as changeover is relatively simple and requires no change parts, unlike lift out style decasers. It is designed to single file bottles with minimum bottle-to-bottle contact, which offers advantages whether running plastic or glass; as it reduces downed plastic bottles and eliminates scratching and starring of glass bottles that can lead to breakage during transit.
