| Tray packer for multipacked beverage bottles is economical and compact March 18, 2004 A-B-C offers the Model 170 tray packer for bottles or containers in chipboard multipacks- the machine accumulates product, packs and seals the trays automatically at speeds to 25 trays per minute. The machine is only 16’-7” long, making it easy to fit into most plant line layouts. For packagers considering tray packaging to reduce corrugated and shipping cost, the Model 170 is an economical choice. The substantial steel frame has a tubular design to provide strength while eliminating catch points for dust accumulation to meet strict food industry requirements. All components that contact the product are made of stainless steel to provide smooth product handling and protect carton graphics. The low level tray magazine is positioned for easy loading, and the standard high capacity auxiliary section may be refilled at any time during operation. Trays are indexed from the stack top to ensure proper feeding of even warped or band-marked trays. Chain-driven flight lugs transfer the tray and product through loading and sealing, to ensure precise positioning and accurate sealing. |
