ADCO Manufacturing Ltd has announced the recent addition of Four Side Seal Sachet machines to its existing range of Cartoners and Sleevers.

The machines are available to pack powders, liquids, tissues and sauces in either single or multiple lane format at speeds up to around 75 cycles per minute, depending on the sachet size and product. All parts in contact with the product are manufactured in stainless steel.

The first machine built, an ADCO MMAP-1 Single Lane Sachet Packer, has been supplied to a local company to pack a non-free flowing powder at 40 ppm. Further orders have been received for multiple lane machines to pack liquids at 200ppm.

There are several machines in the range, the most significant being:

ADCO TS 1-2

A fully automatic vertical form, fill and seal machine for packing Wipes, Towelettes, Folded Tissues and Swabs in a four sided and sealed sachet. Liquid impregnation is carried out by means of a fully adjustable dosing pump, which is easily detachable for cleaning. The machine will handle all forms of heat sealable laminates. A wide range of longitudinal concertina folds are available on the standard machine, however only one final cross fold is used.

This machine will run at 75 cycles / minute.

ADCO MMAP 1-4

A vertical form, fill and seal machine for packing all types of powders and granules into sachets at up to 60 cycles per minutes in either single or up to four lane format.

This machine may be supplied with either single or twin film reel stock feeds. Product dosing is carried out by means of a fully controllable auger unit. ADCO MMLS 1-6

Originally designed for sauce portion packs, this machine is also ideally suited for packing practically any low to high viscosity liquid product. A full range of pump units is available including high accuracy rotary valve units with positive shut-off filling nozzles ensuring a clean cut-off without dripping or stringing.

The machine can be supplied in either single or up to 6 lane format, and operate at up to 80 cycles per minute.
